October 21, 2005: Radio One Boston recently switched its AM Station WILD 1090 format to FM 977 "The People's Station" and will no longer host the Caribbean music and information program "The Caribbean Cruise". Listeners will no longer hear the voice of Jamminjoe Johnson who has hosted the show for over 20 years on WILD AM.

The Station will continue to air Classic Soul, R&B, Gospel and Hip Hop. According to DJ Jamminjoe, "I was told by the General Manager Frank Kelly that Radio-One decided not to continue the show on the FM dial based on their research".

If you feel there is a need for Radio One to continue with the Caribbean Music and information program we suggest you email or contact Radio One Boston AT 617-472-9447. Steven Golsch, sgolsch@radio-one.com or Frank Kelly at fkelly@radio-one.com

EDITOR's NOTE: Billboard's online Radio Monitor has a brief article of the changes, filed on Oct. 20 2005. Also, Radio & Records filed an item on that same date. DJ Jamming Joe maintains a web site at www.djjamminjoe.com.
