RADIO ONE CUTS CARIBBEAN MUSIC AND INFORMATION PROGRAM

WILD Radio 1090 AM has just been switched to WILD 977 FM Boston! WILD has been Boston's premier commercial radio station to feature a Caribbean music and information program which was hosted by DJ Jamming Joe Johnson for over 20 years.

Radio One has announced that it will no longer have a Caribbean music and information program on WILD FM 977 or the sister station Prais 1090 AM (formerly WILD AM). Radio One decided to cut the program based on research; however, our research indicates that Boston is the #2 market for Caribbean entertainment, population, and home ownership.

If you feel there is a need for Radio One Boston to continue with a Caribbean music and information program, (share this message) with others and express your concern to Steven Golsch, sgolsch@radio-one.com OR Frank Kelly, fkelly@radio-one.com. EDITOR's NOTE: Billboard's online Radio Monitor has a brief article of the changes, filed on Oct. 20 2005. Also, Radio & Records filed an item on that same date. DJ Jamming Joe maintains a web site at www.djjamminjoe.com. Please see the article contributed by CaribbeanCulture.com.

INNER VISIONS FANS CHECK IN FAST

That was a nice article on Inner Visions. They are long overdue for recognition in the Islands.
We can't believe that this group has not been recognized for the talent they are. It did not take a strike of lightening for us in Dallas to recognize their talent or 20 years.
Dedicated fans of Inner Visions

READER ENJOYS CARIBIA DIGEST VIA ANNE MARIE DANET

Hello Anita...My name is Steve Magras....Hello...
I just visited Anne Danet's site, and I wanted to personally congratulate you on the wonderful job you have done, and are doing. Also, to let you know that your 'voice' is missed on the radio....in the VI... the occasional commercial is all we have to tide us over nowadays :( Good to know that you are keeping your hand in the bizness anyway. Have a pleasant day and continue your excellent work.

Regards,
Steve Magras

REALLY NICE DIGEST

This is really a nice digest. I added it to my "favorites" list. How often is it updated? I am especially interested in the tribute to Lord Kitchener. I am going to attend that !!!!!!
