Aruba is one of four countries that together create the Dutch Kingdom of the Netherlands including: the Netherlands, Sint Maarten (Dutch) and Curaçao.
Aruba's rather dry climate and location outside the so-called 'hurricane belt' make it a favored destination for vacationers. It's part of the "ABC islands" (along with Bonaire and Curaçao in the Lesser Antilles.
