Reichhold Center a World-Class Stage on St. Thomas

The Reichhold Center for the Arts has come a long way from the pledge by the late industrialist Henry Reichhold to provide the people of the Virgin Islands with a top-flight arts facility.

Since 1978, international and local stars have been featured on the Reichhold's stage; the addition of the Summer Repertory Theatre, youth theatre workshops, a Digital Media Institute, and Community Outreach projects continue to provide both entertainment and enlightenment to the people of the Virgin Islands and visitors alike.

Past performances have been by luminaries such as Chaka Khan, Miriam Makeba & Hugh Masekela, New York Theater Ballet, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Jimmy Cliff, Al Green, Ray Charles, the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble, Tito Puente and Eartha Kitt among many, many others.  Local productions include the popular "V.I. Idol" series, "Coming Home to Roost", and "StarFest";  and Caribbean stars such as Oliver Samuel, Beres Hammond, and Arrow have also graced the Reichhold Center Stage.
